Suzuki Precision Control and Selective Rotation at 300 HP
The Suzuki DF300AP is a 4028 cc V6 four-stroke outboard rated at 300 hp across a 5700-6300 rpm full-throttle operating range, the top of Suzuki’s V6 line at 300 hp. Suzuki builds it around a 55-degree V6 DOHC 24-valve powerhead, Suzuki Precision Control electronic shift and throttle, Suzuki Selective Rotation, Suzuki Lean Burn Control and Variable Valve Timing.
Powerful and efficient. The DF300AP is built around a 4028 cc 55-degree V6 DOHC 24-valve powerhead controlled by Suzuki Precision Control, an electronic shift-and-throttle system that replaces mechanical control cables for smoother shifting and more precise throttle response across single, dual-station and multi-engine rigging. Suzuki Selective Rotation lets the same lower unit run standard or counter-rotation from a switch inside the engine compartment, and Variable Valve Timing adds low- and mid-range torque without giving up top end.
Easy to live with. Suzuki’s Lean Burn Control System leans the fuel mixture from low speed up into the cruising range for better fuel economy, and O2 sensor feedback keeps the air-fuel ratio in check across the full rpm range. A 32-bit ECM continuously manages fuel injection and ignition timing, and an optional Suzuki Troll Mode System adjusts engine speed in 50 rpm increments from idle to 1200 rpm for finer boat control at trolling speeds.
Built for saltwater. Suzuki’s Anti-Corrosion System applies a specially formulated finish directly to the outboard’s aluminum surface, which allows maximum bonding and helps protect the parts that are constantly exposed to saltwater, and a Water Detecting fuel filter system warns before water in the fuel can reach the injectors. The DF300AP is offered in Pearl Nebular Black or Cool White.
