Whether your engine is due for its next service, fresh out of the crate, or something has gone wrong on the water, start here.
Service & Support
Your engine is serviced by a dealer trained on it, using genuine parts stocked in Clearwater, under a warranty Mastry administers. Start here and we will point you at the right one.
Service here, or service near you
Mastry is two things at once. We distribute YANMAR across the Americas and are the Suzuki Repower distributor from Maine to Florida — and in Clearwater we are a dealer in our own right, with a parts counter, a service shop and a rigging floor.
So the work can happen here. Or it can happen at any of the 300-plus dealers and 28 Suzuki Repower Centers across the territory, drawing on the same parts, the same technical support and the same factory training that come out of this building.

Find your engine service schedule
Every interval for every engine we distribute, taken from the manufacturer’s own manuals. The YANMAR schedules cover 25 engine series across sailboat, powerboat, industrial and generator sets, with the operation-manual page cited on each one.
The Suzuki schedules go further and publish the parts, the labor and the cost at each interval — in two columns, standard and Owner’s Edge.
The operation manual for your engine is the authority. Emission-related and warranty work belongs with an authorized dealer.
The engine was designed around genuine parts
YANMAR builds its genuine parts to the ISO 9001 standard, using what it calls the same materials, machinery and production methods as the original equipment parts — and describes them as the only parts made to YANMAR’s own standards for quality and durability. Suzuki tests every genuine part against its standards for performance, quality, durability and safety before it carries the name, and specifies ECSTAR oil for the engines it builds.
Neither manufacturer treats this as a preference, and neither does the coverage. YANMAR’s own conditions for keeping its Extended Warranty active include “Maintenance performed only by a YANMAR Authorized Dealer” and “Use YANMAR Fluids and Yanmar Genuine Parts.” Put something else in the engine and the warranty is the first thing you lose.
Mastry stocks both ranges in Clearwater — filters, anodes, impellers, maintenance kits, oils and chemicals — and ships from here.
Register a new engine
Registration is what starts the clock on coverage and what puts you on the list for a safety or service bulletin. It takes a few minutes, and it is the one piece of the process that is entirely yours to do.
Warranty and coverage
Mastry administers warranty for the engines and systems we distribute across our YANMAR and Suzuki territories. Warranty claims can only be filed by an authorized dealer. If you think a repair is covered, take the engine to your dealer: they file the claim with us as part of the job, and they hold the full terms and confirm what applies on the day.
What the coverage is
YANMAR marine warranty terms are YANMAR’s own. YANMAR’s summary of its Limited Warranty and its 3-Year Extended Warranty, with the conditions that keep the extension active, is on our Warranty information page, and the full terms are in the YANMAR Limited Warranty Handbook.
Your YANMAR dealer can confirm which terms apply to your engine.
New YANMAR industrial engines carry 2 years or 2,000 hours, whichever comes first. Industrial repower engines have their own terms: a remanufactured engine carries 1 year on the parts replaced, and a new replacement engine 1 to 2 years depending on its level of completeness.
A new Suzuki outboard carries five years for recreational use, three years for a rental or boat club, and one year in commercial service.
Suzuki runs promotional coverage above its standard term from time to time.

Service questions, answered
The questions that come up before anyone picks up the phone. The schedules, the forms and the dealer map above answer the rest.
Does Mastry service my engine?
Yes, and so does your dealer. Mastry distributes YANMAR across the Americas and is the Suzuki Repower distributor from Maine to Florida, and in Clearwater we run a parts counter, a service shop and a rigging floor of our own. Away from Clearwater, the work is done by one of the 300-plus dealers and 28 Suzuki Repower Centers we supply, train and support.
How do I find someone who can work on my engine?
The dealer map filters by brand — Suzuki Repower Center, YANMAR Marine, YANMAR Industrial, VTE — and by what a location actually offers, including mobile service, a parts counter and service work. Filter for what you need rather than for what is closest.
Where do I find the maintenance schedule for my engine?
On this site. The YANMAR schedules cover 25 engine series across sailboat, powerboat, industrial and generator sets, with the operation-manual page cited for each. The Suzuki schedules cover the current outboard range. Find your model, and the intervals and items are listed by hour and by year.
What does a scheduled service cost?
For Suzuki outboards it is published — the schedule pages list the parts, the labor and the cost at every interval, with a standard price and an Owner’s Edge price. For YANMAR the interval and the items are published and the price comes from your dealer, because labor rates and access vary by boat.
What is Owner’s Edge?
Mastry’s program for boat owners who repower through a Mastry Suzuki Repower Center: member pricing on scheduled service, repower events and seminars, and access to the Suzuki trade allowance program.
Is my engine under warranty, and for how long?
It depends on the engine and how it is used. For a YANMAR marine engine the terms are YANMAR’s own, summarized on our Warranty information page and set out in full in the YANMAR Limited Warranty Handbook. New industrial engines carry 2 years or 2,000 hours. On an industrial repower, a remanufactured engine carries 1 year on the parts replaced, and a new replacement engine 1 to 2 years depending on its level of completeness. A new Suzuki outboard carries five years for recreational use, three years for a rental or boat club, and one year in commercial service.
Do I have to use genuine parts?
In practice, yes. YANMAR builds its genuine parts to the ISO 9001 standard from what it describes as the same materials, machinery and production methods as the original equipment; Suzuki tests each genuine part against its own standards for performance, quality, durability and safety. More to the point, one of YANMAR’s conditions for keeping the Extended Warranty active is to “Use YANMAR Fluids and Yanmar Genuine Parts” — so a cheaper filter is only cheaper until something fails.
Why does registering the engine matter?
It is what starts coverage on time and what puts you on the list when a service or safety bulletin goes out. For a YANMAR marine engine, one of YANMAR’s Extended Warranty conditions is to “Register within 12 months.” It takes a few minutes and nobody can do it for you.
Who files a warranty claim, me or my dealer?
Your dealer. Only an authorized dealer can file a warranty claim: they raise it with Mastry as part of the repair and we administer it from Clearwater. If you think a repair is covered, start with your dealer.
Do you support engines you did not sell?
Yes, within our territory. If it is a YANMAR in the Americas, or a Suzuki from Maine to Florida, the dealer network, the parts and the schedules apply regardless of where the engine was bought.
