Seakeeper Ride

Automatic underway control of pitch, roll and heel

Why Choose Seakeeper Ride Through Mastry?

Seakeeper Ride works underway only, and it needs a compatible multifunction display on an NMEA 2000 network with GPS. Mastry distributes Seakeeper Ride and can help you and your dealer choose the right size for your boat. Our catalog covers boats up to 36 feet.

FAQs

Sizing, what your boat needs, and when Ride works: the questions we hear most about Seakeeper Ride.

How is Seakeeper Ride different from trim tabs?

Trim tabs are set by hand and move slowly. Seakeeper Ride adjusts automatically, 100 times a second, to control pitch and roll while you are underway. It is not a gyro: a gyro stabilizer such as Smartgyro also works at anchor, while Ride works underway only.

What size boat is Seakeeper Ride for?

Seakeeper’s range covers boats from 19 to 55 feet. Mastry’s catalog lists three sizes, for boats up to 36 feet. See the models, and ask us about larger boats.

When does it work, and when doesn't it?

Underway only. It has trim authority from about 10 mph, with the full benefit from about 20 to 25 mph. Seakeeper does not recommend it for boats capable of 80 mph or more. It suits fiberglass and aluminum monohulls, stepped or not.

What does my boat need?

A compatible multifunction display on an NMEA 2000 network with GPS.

Does it need input from the helm?

No. Once it is on, it runs automatically: its software and sensors adjust pitch, roll and heel without any input from the helm.

Can it be refitted to my boat?

Yes. Seakeeper Ride can be fitted to many existing powerboats in place of trim tabs or interceptors. Mastry can help choose the right size for your transom.

What warranty does it carry?

Seakeeper’s 24-month limited warranty from delivery. It excludes commercial use.
