Ultra-quiet, space-saving Paguro generators for powerboats and sailboats.

VTE Marine Generators

Compact, ultra-quiet marine diesel generators

Why Choose VTE Generators Through Mastry?

Choosing a marine generator means balancing your electrical load, the space you have and how much noise you will accept. Several Paguro models run on YANMAR engines, and Mastry, a YANMAR distributor across the Americas, can help you and your dealer size the right one.

Ultra-Quiet Dual Water-Cooling

Both the engine and the alternator are water-cooled, so there are no noisy ventilation fans, and a multilayer fiberglass capsule dampens what sound is left.

Lightweight & Compact Footprint

Purpose-built compact components keep the footprint small and the weight down, so a Paguro fits tight engine compartments.

Serviced in Place

The capsule splits into two halves, so the lids come off for service, even in a tight space.

FAQs

Noise, sizing, engines and service: the questions we hear most about VTE Paguro generators.

How quiet is a VTE Paguro generator?

Both the engine and the alternator are water-cooled, with no ventilation fans, inside a multilayer fiberglass capsule. VTE rates the range at around 50 dB(A) at 7 m, depending on model.

What size generator do I need?

It depends on your boat’s total electrical load: air conditioning, watermaker, galley and battery chargers. See the Paguro models Mastry supplies; your dealer or Mastry can help you size one.

Which engine is inside a Paguro?

Several Paguro builds run YANMAR engines: the Paguro 4000 on a YANMAR L70, and the 7500 and 9500 on the YANMAR 3TNV80F. The others use Lombardini engines.

How does water-cooling help in a tight engine room?

An air-cooled generator needs air ducting and cooling fans, and they take space. Water-cooling both the engine and the alternator lets a Paguro fit smaller, harder-to-reach compartments on powerboats and sailboats.

How is a Paguro serviced in place?

The capsule splits into two halves, so the lids come off for service, even in a tight space.

What protects the generator?

Automatic shutdown on low oil pressure or high temperature, and a remote control panel with an LCD display and load indicator.

Who makes VTE generators?

Volpi Tecno Energia, in Fiumicello, Italy, which has built generator sets since 1933.
