Multi-Stage Induction and Variable Valve Timing at 200 HP
The Suzuki DF200T is a 3614 cc V6 four-stroke outboard rated at 200 hp across a 5000-6000 rpm full-throttle operating range, the entry point to Suzuki’s V6 line, which runs from 200 to 300 hp. It suits the boat that wants V6 torque and a large-diameter propeller without moving to digital controls: center consoles, walkarounds and pontoons rigged with conventional mechanical shift and throttle. Suzuki builds it around a 55-degree V6 DOHC 24-valve powerhead, Variable Valve Timing, Multi-Stage Induction, CAN Bus rigging and a high-output alternator.
Powerful and efficient. The 3614 cc 55-degree V6 powerhead carries dual overhead cams and four valves per cylinder, paired with Suzuki’s proven Multi-Stage Induction, which tunes intake tract length across the rpm range so torque stays strong from idle to wide open throttle. Variable Valve Timing adds low- and mid-range pull without giving up the top end, and multi-point sequential electronic fuel injection meters fuel cylinder by cylinder.
Easy to live with. Suzuki’s CAN Bus system makes rigging easier and more reliable, and supports the easy start system, automatic trim, keyless starting and troll mode. A 12 V 54 A alternator generates approximately 38 A even with the engine running as low as 1000 rpm, which keeps an assortment of marine electronics supplied at trolling speed. An updated cowling and louver system manages intake air and noise. Every DF200T comes with remote mechanical shift and throttle standard.
Built for saltwater. Suzuki’s Anti-Corrosion System applies a specially formulated finish directly to the outboard’s aluminum surface, which allows maximum bonding and helps protect the parts that are constantly exposed to saltwater. The DF200T is offered in Pearl Nebular Black or White.

Rigging. The DF200T is rigged to order, remote mechanical control only, in Pearl Nebular Black or White, on a 20, 25 or 30 in transom. Every DF200T has electric start and power trim and tilt as standard. Suzuki’s model codes read left to right from the horsepower, with T for power trim and tilt and L, X or XX for a 20, 25 or 30 in transom, so a DF200TX is a 25 in model.
