Compact DOHC Power and Digital-Ready Control at 115 HP
The Suzuki DF115B is a 2044 cc in-line four-cylinder four-stroke outboard rated at 115 hp across a 5000-6000 rpm full-throttle operating range, the entry point to Suzuki’s Inline 4 line, which runs from 115 to 200 hp. Suzuki builds it around the DOHC 16-valve powerhead, Suzuki Lean Burn Control, the offset drive shaft with 2-stage gear reduction, the Easy Access Oil Filter, a Water Detecting fuel filter system and an anti-corrosion finish.
Powerful and efficient. Suzuki positions the crankshaft ahead of the drive shaft on the DF115B, moving the outboard’s center of gravity forward for a more compact package and reduced vibration — the engine’s axis of inertia, the point where vibration is at a minimum, sits up over the upper engine mount. An offset drive shaft and 2-stage gear reduction behind that 2044 cc DOHC 16-valve powerhead turn a large-diameter propeller for strong midrange torque, and Suzuki’s Lean Burn Control System leans the fuel mixture from low speed up into the cruising range for better fuel economy.
Easy to live with. An Easy Access Oil Filter comes out from under the top cover alone, with an Oil Spill Catcher built in to keep spilled oil off the rest of the powerhead, and an Oil Level Gauge sized for a common 15 mm oil-changer hose. A Water Detecting fuel filter system warns before water in the fuel can reach the injectors, and multi-point sequential electronic fuel injection keeps starting and throttle response consistent across conditions. Every DF115B is available with mechanical or digital shift and throttle.
Built for saltwater. Suzuki’s Anti-Corrosion System applies a specially formulated finish directly to the outboard’s aluminum surface, which allows maximum bonding and helps protect the parts that are constantly exposed to saltwater. The DF115B is offered in Pearl Nebular Black or Cool White.

Rigging. The DF115B is rigged to order, remote control only, in Pearl Nebular Black or Cool White, with a choice of mechanical or digital shift and throttle and a 20 in or 25 in transom.
